Talent (Vs) Truth ?
I’ve always thought of Ram Jethmalani as a decent, intelligent sort. Therefore, it seems entirely out of character for him, to have introduced this ingenious twist in the Jessica Lall murder case.
Understandably, as per Ram Jethmalani, Jessica Lall wasn’t shot because she refused someone a drink, she was shot because she “insulted someone’s manhood”. Now “manhood” doesn’t really have a mind of its own to feel insulted. Thats a side issue, anyway. What’s fascinating is we have the actual killer, an extremely powerful tall Sikh 'gentle'man who must not be named. Incredible stuff. Straight out of the movies. But then can’t sometimes life be like cinema?
Insulting manhood is not a provoking act, If she insults your manhood,you insult her womanhood.Not more than that! .The revenge ends there , no need to fire the pistol.!
What’s more, the Jethmalani is trying to sound very confident about this business. He claims that he will soon shed more light on hitherto unnamed Sikh dude with a tall frame, and prove his guilt. Boy, does he have some nerve!.One can ony ask him if the same had happened to his grand-daughter(Kamna Jethmelani-a cine actor),would his reaction be the same!.
And he shouts to media to not to intervene his personal & proffessional life.(felt sorry for Sagarika das gupta(CNN-IBN)).
Certainly in this game of Talent Vs Truth , its the talent that has won the toss!
We will have to wait for the result.!

The wait is over: Australia win the Champions Trophy for the first time.
They are easily the best cricket team in the world simply because they perform when it matters the most!
I however found the on field behaviour of this team irritating. It reached its maximum during the presentation ceremony.Mr Ramiz raja, the person incharge of announcing the presentations 'forgot' to announce that the TROPHY would be presented to Ricky Ponting by the President of BCCI,Mr Sharad Pawar and concluded the presentation ceremony abtruptly.
What happened next was actrocious. Ricky ponting pointed his finger at the trophy and and pulled it from Sharad Pawar with such arrogance that he was standing perplexed there and then obivously took time to move of the stage due to his age factor.Then couple of Aussie players pushed him outside the stage !.I cant understand why the players could not ask him move politely.
I just imagined that if something like this happened to the president of 'Cricket Australia', it would have become an big issue. I want the ICC to look into this matter very seriously , but i know this would never happen.
The Aussies are true champions but I doubt whether they are Gentlemen !

It was 2 pm on october 22nd. I was having a siesta when i recieved a reminder call .
The Alumni meet of 2k5 batch pass outs was to happen that day.
I was excited in meeting all my school friends whom i had not seen for almost 2 years. Since the meeting was to take place at 4pm , I had to catch the bus by atleast 3 pm to be on time.
The meeting was to take place at 'Mount Heera' hotel. I reached there in time and was surprised to see an A/c hall for the meeting.One by one arrived and soon the hall was buzzing with noise.
The actual meeting commenced with the formal registration of members into the 'Alumni' association.Then some of them spoke on the activities planned by the Alumni association. There were poems being rendered. Then everyone sat in a circle and the interaction formally began.The informal interactions were more than the formal interaction that took place. The function ended with an 'high tea'.
Nothing substantial took place but still the joy of meeting the old friends is something special.

I am happy with this.
Yeah , the bowlers are calling the shots atleast for the first few matches of the ICC Champions Trophy.Its a nice trend since 300 plus scores has become almost inevitable during ODI matches and like many others I felt that the fair contest between the bat and the ball was missing.
I am very critical of the people who say that these kind of pitches are substandard.I beg to differ simply because a good pitch must provide something for both the batsmen & the bowlers and these pitches are doing the same unlike others.
In my opinion, the tracks which provide 300 plus scores easily are the culprits for spoiling the game and is guilty of taking away the charm from an cricket match.These are the pitches that must be termed as substandard.
The Batsmen who licked their lips coming to India cannot tolerate this disappointment because their batting techniques would come under the scanner.
We would come to know the difference between 'boys' and 'men' during this tournament because of the fact that those players whom we think are great may not be so and viceversa.
The bowlers are back in action in an ODI game and such pitches would surely inspire some of them to actually perform to their best .I hope this trend will continue and I am only to say 'Touchwood'.

Exactly two and a half years ago , there arised a story that pepsi and coke contained pesticides. The story became a big issue and then it died down.Now again this issue has been raised . I agree that there should be ethics in business.However I dont think the culprits are these soft drink companies.
People were demonstrating the corrosion of tooth when it is submerged in pepsi and coke.I would advise them not to drink , but why blame it contains pesticides.No one tries to put pesticide in a drink .
Pepsi and coke are being banned when it is not sure whether it contains pesticides are not , but cigarattes are not being banned when it is sure that it contains substances that damages humans considerably.!
Drinking pepsi and coke is not healthy compared to drinking tender coconut.we all know that. However if you dont want to drink these soft drinks, its okay and no problem but don say the reason that you are not drinking is coz it contains pesticides.!
Iam not an advertiser for these soft drinks but what I urge you is to ....

All the Nuclear power houses in the world including India condemn North Korea performing its first ever Nuclear test. United States of America wiil not be able to explain to anybody the reason why there should be no Nuclear test in the world while it is known that 'She' is the leader of the Arm's race .!
United states will infuence UN to impose sanctions on North Korea(It is a known fact that UN is a dummy organisation which is under domination of the US.)United States of America behaving like this is not new ,but oflate India's behaviour is too under the scanner.
Our Prime minister says on this issue 'I wish all the Countries in the World would adhere to International requirements.'He must remember that India is a country which has not yet signed the controversial Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).
Nuclear rich Nations like Australia are not willing to trade Uranium fuel to Countries which dont sign this treaty.US is the only country that offers Nuclear fuel without this condition. India (which badly needs Nuclear fuel for its civilian purposes) therefore has no other go but to back the United States.
However one should remember that when India did Nuclear test at Pokhran , the same United States had imposed sanctions on India.
Asked why India desires to become Nuclear rich , our President(he was the security advisor to our then PM during Pokhran test) justified by saying 'We are not going to use Nuclear weapons and attack somebody, but it its just a protection .It shows our might.We will not attack ,but if somoone attacks , we cannot keep quiet.'North Korea can also justify itself by saying the same thing. Is it not?
Therefore i dont feel that North Korea is doing anything wrong till it maintains safety standards.
I feel bad that the civilian opinion differs from the official Indian Opinion.!!!

The rise of sensationalism in today's journalism and television media due to fierce competion is giving headache to none other than the viewers.
The concept of 'Breaking NEWS ' is truly irritating . Following are some of the 'Breaking NEWS ' that appeared on various TV channels.
---> Karishma Kappoor applies for Divorce ..! (Star News)
---> ShahRukhKhan says he is determined to quit smoking ..!(Times Now)
---> Indian Cricket Team returns from Malaysia ..! (CNN-IBN)
I feel somehow that the word 'Breaking News' is justifiable as such news items makes one to 'break' the TV ! In such media when a dog bites a man it is a NEWS and if a man bites a dog it is 'Breaking NEWS'.
Vernacular newspapers and magazines are not far behind if not ahead.
Magazines say a thing that they know it is not true in the hope if they keep on saying it long enough it will be true..!
Whenever I see a Tamil Magazine,I think of the poor trees. As trees they provide beauty ,shade and shelter , but as paper all they provide is only RUBBISH . .!!
Here is where I coin a new term called 'Tearing NEWS' for magazines and newspapers. It is a sibling to the term 'Breaking NEWS'.(The logic is simple . TV can be broken so the term 'Breaking NEWS' but a paper can only be torn and therefore the term 'Tearing NEWS')
One must notice that all the 'Tearing NEWS' items such as life,real honest to goodness life , murders , catastrophes ,fabulous inheritances , film industry rumours(kisu kisu) ,love and marriage happens almost happens exclusively in Tamil Magazines..!!
Modern Journalism justifies its own existence by the great Darwinian principle of " Survival of the Vulgarist(fittest) ".
The general public must understand that what the Mass media is offering is not popular art or NEWS but entertainment which is intended to be consumed like food , forgotten and replaced by a new dish.!!!

It is October 2.
I went to beach today.It was around 5 30 pm.
Since it is Gandhi Jayanthi ,there is a temporary staircase put up to his statue so that our politicians and others can offer garlands and flowers.
I wanted to climb the stairs and wanted to have a closer look at him.As I was climbing up the stairs I could not stop but notice people who were praising the scenic beauty of beach from above there. They were not paying the slightest attention to 'Father of the Nation'.
There were people who were atually photographing the beach from there and used the statue of M.K.Gandhi as their fellow model.I could have atleast appreciated them if they had taken the photograph of that statue alone.I also noticed people who were
wearing slippers while standing beside his statue.I heard people say ' What a View ! why not the authorithies have it as a permanent structure.'
I felt bad for Mr M.K.Gandhi. I knew it is not a place for sightseeing. But when will others know..?

I don possess a driving licence .... therefore I have potential dangers of getting caught by the master bribers 'the traffic police of Chennai' . .
I have get caught many a time but however have also escaped without paying bribe. . !
STORY #1
I was in my class six riding a kinetic honda.The vehicle skid and i fell on a cycler.I was caught redhanded..
How did I manage escape from that extralarge tummy fellow . .?
STORY #2
It was during my class 10.The Road I was Travelling Had a mobile court.Seeing me travel in school uniform a policeman came right in front of me.I dashed him.
I escaped,but how..?
STORY #3
It was during my class 12.I was Standing in a signal,a policeman saw me stop after stopline.He was approaching me . .!
I once again escaped but how...?
CLIMAX #1
I was tensed.He asked me identity card which i never have the habit of possessing.
suddenly i had an idea.Iam not sure whether it came due to fear or due to real intelligence...!
I immediately cried.!Ya cried..! "amma naan veetuku ponnum .... amma...". I was very
loud.the policeman got fed up and said 'seri seri po po. . . '
I realised the power of tears.!
CLIMAX #2
this time no childish plays....Real action stuff..hollywood style...
After dashing him. I did not hesitate butpushed the accelarator hard and started moving. i could hear shouts of 'Catch him, Follow him'. I knew the police guy was following me.. I took into smaller streets thinking that he would not be ble to follow me but oooops i rode into a dead-end !!!!
Our 'mama' came with a grin but to his fate his tyre got punchured. This was my chance . I pushed the acceleratorhard once again... I reached my dads office and sat silently.

There was no running away.As the policeman was comin near me i drew backwards and was trying to stand behind the stopline.At that moment he called out to me.'hey you'. Fear gripped me as he was nearing .he came to me atlast and said 'can you drop me at the end of this road'?
I ws dumbstruck.Thanking God I gave a lift to him.
P.s I vowed to take license on the day i turned 18.Till now I did not.
P.P.s Hope my goodluck continues trill atleast I popssess a valid license.
I have get caught many a time but however have also escaped without paying bribe. . !
STORY #1
I was in my class six riding a kinetic honda.The vehicle skid and i fell on a cycler.I was caught redhanded..
How did I manage escape from that extralarge tummy fellow . .?

It was during my class 10.The Road I was Travelling Had a mobile court.Seeing me travel in school uniform a policeman came right in front of me.I dashed him.
I escaped,but how..?

It was during my class 12.I was Standing in a signal,a policeman saw me stop after stopline.He was approaching me . .!
I once again escaped but how...?
CLIMAX #1
I was tensed.He asked me identity card which i never have the habit of possessing.
suddenly i had an idea.Iam not sure whether it came due to fear or due to real intelligence...!
I immediately cried.!Ya cried..! "amma naan veetuku ponnum .... amma...". I was very
loud.the policeman got fed up and said 'seri seri po po. . . '
I realised the power of tears.!
CLIMAX #2
this time no childish plays....Real action stuff..hollywood style...
After dashing him. I did not hesitate butpushed the accelarator hard and started moving. i could hear shouts of 'Catch him, Follow him'. I knew the police guy was following me.. I took into smaller streets thinking that he would not be ble to follow me but oooops i rode into a dead-end !!!!
Our 'mama' came with a grin but to his fate his tyre got punchured. This was my chance . I pushed the acceleratorhard once again... I reached my dads office and sat silently.

I was sitting in my class in college....
The bell just rang and it was now the fourth and the final hour.All the previous hours were free and this hour was again was no exception.The professor took the attendance and went...It was boring......
Suddenly i had a sense of dejavu. It had been like this all through my high school days..... I had some reminisces.
The first period in the morning would be English followed by a spree of free periods coz either my commerce teacher would have some important work or our economics teacher would be lazy to climb up the stairs to come to our class.Since all the hours would be free , I would finish of my lunch by the third period maximum.Never in the history of my school life have i eaten my lunch inthe lunch breaks.!
I noticed that there was a change.I ofcourse is a backbencher in my college but I used to be the first bencher in my school not because i was studious.There would be a platform in front of me in the classroom from where the teacher would take class.She used to stand just in front of me and hold the book in her hands
and i would comfortably doze off right under her nose without she noticing in the first bench..!!
I used to love lunch breaks.It was tremendous fun .We guys would put a small bench outside the class into the narrow corridor.We used to sit on it and pass comments about every girl passerby.It would be merry.!
During free periods we used to talk,play,sing,have book revolving contests,pass comments,roam around corridors. The major time pass would be listening to cricket scores in the radio and I used to be amazed by the unity in which boys and girls would coopearate to this.All the crimes were committed together and all the punishments were recieved together.!
The science students would feel jealous.However these free periods became a bore in the due course of time..........
Suddenly the bell rang once more... The last hour went very fast. It was time to go home..As i packed my bag and stood up, I could not stop but notice a tear roll down my cheek....!
I wiped it.

A person went to a city branch of an reputed bank.He went to one of the staff there and said that he wanted to operate core banking.(Its a type of banking where a person can operate his account in any of the bank's branches).
The gentleman in the counter asked that person to bring a photograph and readily that person obliged. Then that person was asked to bring his address proof and again readily the person brought his Voter Id card. He was asked to fill up the withrawal slip and sign it..He did it.
The bank staff verified the signature and said it did not match. This person was astonished.He went near the monitor and observed the two signatures.There was an extra dot in the signature. The person pleaded but the bank staff were rude.
Then this person searched for a complain box.There was none.
He went again and said to the bank staff that his intention was not to cheat.Once again they were rude.
He was fed Up and he shouted 'Its my money , I want it. Who are you to stop me..?.I am not against what you say but I am against the way you people say.'
The end result ---- The bank froze that persons account.Was that person wrong..?

There lies the road ahead ....
From where i see people return ...
With wounds of heartburn....
Yeah the wounds are sans the colour red ..!
I see people running fast to touch the rope...
However i also notice people who have lost their hope ...!
I start , I start and slowly step on to the road ....
I move on thinking of pleasures and dream of ford...!
People warn me as I move and get on ...
They say if I be like this I will later moan..!
They instigate the concept of Fear..!
I assure myself that i will achieve in a year..!
What is this..? what is this..?
The chance that I should not miss...!
The road ahead is not life...
But it teaches you to walk on a knife...!
Ya the answer i knew..
That success is only for a few...!
I understood I had to reach the other end..
But I had so many mistakes that i needed to mend...!

Film - Lage raho munnabhai.
Rating - 8 / 10.
Genre - Comedy.
Cast - Sanjay Dutt,Arshad Warsi,Vidya Balan, Boman Irani
How often does a movie make you feel refreshed ..?
How often does the entire audience in the theatre give a standing ovation after the film is over ..?
How often do you see a movie that respects the values of great leaders..?
How often do you see a movie that is watchable by 6 yr old and also by a 60 yr old..?
the answer is LAGE RAHO MUNNABHAI...
This film is no sequel to the earlier film Munnabhai mbbs.One need not watch the earlier film to understand this one. The main charachters Munna(sanjay) and Circuit(arshad) get involved in yet another laugh riot.
Jaanavi(vidya) is a radio jockey whom Munna wants to meet . He does so in his own style and how he joins with her at the end along with Gandhi is the thin storyline of the film.
Arshad warsi is the pick of the actors for me.His sense of timing is simply astounding.Sanjay and Boman do a neat job. Vidya balan looks charming and pretty and the character of jaanavi suits her style. The guy who plays as Gandhi needs special mention.The music is great and all songs are pleasing.The song "samjo ho hi gaya" number is the pick of the songs 4 me purely because of the way its being picturised(YOU AN SEE THIS SONG IN THIS PAGE !!!).Diya mirza could have done better and wat is Abhishek Bachan doin here..!.Such good films need not have special appearances to popularise. At the end of the day you feel that all your problems can be solved.Gandhigiri or Munnagiri stays on.

It was 12th july 2006 . The results of Ca foundation exams were due next day at 2 pm!!
I was very tensed. i could not sleep that night . .. . .
8 am , 13th july... i just woke up. i was trying to be normal.
Then for the first time since my exams , i looked through the question paper !!
I knew instantly that i would fail in mathematics . i had no hope.
10 am, a message comes, i heard that results would come by 11 am. it was preponed ...!!
11 am, phone rings , it was aarthi on the line.."congrats" i heard. i was stunned.
she said " you have scored 241. accounts -56,maths-50(escape !),economics-65,bc & om-70.
Seriously i could'nt believe.! the first thing i enquired was whether it was my results.
she said " yes". i thanked her a lot and rushed to a nearby browsing centre.
ya !!! she was true!!. I decided to contact her for every future result.
How nice i felt ...!!!

He replied " its something to do with computers,i think bloggers are some kind of hardware engineers"
then i heard of blog unconference...!!!
then i thought a blog would be some kind of organisation,
but why is it called "unconference"?, my mind asked.
Then i went to google & searched for the word blog...
ALAS ! I knew the answer....
I understood what an excellent hobby it would be !
Cool . .I have now become a blogger !!! ( i could have looked into the dictionary the day i heard blog. i forgot)
